Authors by matched-paper count

Ranks authors by distinct articles already passing this newsroom’s rolling six-month source and relevance screen. A paper counts only when its abstract contains at least one fungal term and at least one applied-context term. Each coauthor receives one count per DOI.

Author rankings will appear after the live Crossref refresh.

Keyword examples — fungal: fungus/fungi/fungal, mycete/mycota forms, mycelium, mushroom, mycorrhiza, endophyte, yeast, mould/mold, and lichen. Applied: mycoprotein, fermentation/bioconversion, enzymes, bioremediation, biocontrol, biofertilizers, mycelium biomaterials, food/health, plant/host, soil, ecology, and restoration. ORCID is used when Crossref supplies it; otherwise names are normalized, so same-name authors may be conflated. Missing Crossref abstracts or author metadata are omitted. Counts are not lifetime totals or measures of paper quality.

How this feed is curated

On each page open, Crossref is queried for the rolling six-calendar-month window. Eligible sources are the union of the original ten scope-selected JIF journals and JUFO Level 2/3 journal series with a current-window article match. Publication still requires a journal-article record, valid DOI, title, date, fungal evidence, and a separate applied-scope signal in the title or abstract. JUFO and JIF are venue-level indicators, not article-quality scores or relevance guarantees.

Links, not copied papers

Each result shows article metadata and links to its DOI or publisher landing page. Figure images and thumbnail placeholders are not displayed, keeping the results focused on the articles. Abstracts and full text are shown only when reuse is permitted. A metadata record is not a substitute for reading the paper.

Participating journals · JUFO Level 2/3 and original JIF shortlist

JUFO Levels 2/3 use the official 14 October 2026 snapshot (the operative 2023–2026 classification); Level 3 is scheduled for removal in 2027. JIF values are shown for the original ten journals where available. Neither journal metric rates individual papers. JUFO source links open the official register.
